I take great pride in these images and have enjoyed curating them into galleries. Out of the photographs which could have been included, many of my favorites were cut. The process proved both challenging and revealing.

My photography has spanned decades and includes a wide range of subjects. I am a photographic opportunist, responding to whatever subject, moment, or light presented itself where I happened to be, that remains true. While curating, however, recurring themes emerged that I had not previously recognized. In one theme, the images return to moments on the edge—motion just beginning or ending, fleeting light, and scenes that exist briefly before changing.

These ideas are explored most clearly in the Transitions gallery. There is also a persistent sense of anticipation: the quiet excitement of searching, of moving through new places, and of being attentive enough to recognize when something worth holding appears.

Thanks for viewing!
